Job Summary:

The IA-DOM-DOIT-TS4 VISION ETL Lead is responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of ETL pipelines to migrate data from Google Cloud Platform BigQuery to enterprise SQL data warehouses. This role ensures data quality, performance, and alignment with business requirements while mentoring a team of ETL developers throughout the VISION CWIS FACS Conversion Initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Lead ETL and data ingestion development supporting migration from GCP BigQuery to SQL data warehouses.
• Architect and implement data pipelines using modern ETL tools and cloud-native frameworks.
• Train and mentor a team of 4+ ETL developers on best practices, coding standards, and data modeling.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to validate data requirements and ensure alignment with reporting needs.
• Develop testing strategies to ensure data integrity, completeness, and accuracy during migration.
• Optimize pipelines for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Validate transactional and analytical data models for downstream applications and BI solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations for diverse audiences.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on ETL development experience.
• Expertise with modern ETL and reporting/BI tools.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data models and ETL pipeline design best practices.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead managing teams of 4 or more developers.
• Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Dataform, BigQuery, and Medallion Architecture.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with cloud-native data processing frameworks and enterprise data lakes.
• Familiarity with BI reporting tools and data warehouse modernization initiatives.

Special Considerations:

• Absences longer than two weeks require prior approval and contact information must be provided.
• Contractor must report any disciplinary actions or criminal convictions to the State.
• Use of AI-generated responses in screenings and interviews is strictly prohibited.
• Candidate must complete additional background checks including fingerprinting and waiver forms before starting.

Scheduling:

• Position duration from September 28, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
• Interviews scheduled for September 30, October 1, and October 2; candidate availability on these dates is required.
• Work schedule details to be aligned with project needs and team coordination.
